BIO:

Chef Christine Martinez has always been inspired by the culinary and hospitality worlds. After obtaining her degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University, she went on to gain experience in numerous professional kitchens and properties, including the AAA, 5- diamond Breakers Hotel and Resort in West Palm Beach FL, as well as with Michelin-star chef Michael Psilakis and Chef Geoffrey Zakarian.

She also worked with numerous local chefs and restaurants, including Chef Cesar Zapata of Phuc Yea / The Federal, Chef Joseph Lenn of the Barn at Blackberry Farms, Chef Micah Edelstein of Nemesis Bistro, Chef Richard Hales of Blackbrick , and Chef Todd Erickson of Haven and Huahua’s Taqueria.

Martinez also played in integral role in the opening of Tudor House, Huahua’s Taqueria, and Phuc Yea where she worked her way into almost all roles including branding, marketing, front-of-house management, and general management. Martinez was also responsible for assisting Miami Culinary Tours with their product knowledge, scripts, conceptualization of new tours, and specialty dining experiences for VIP clients.

In 2014 she was awarded “30 under 30” in Miami by Zagat, and then In October 2016 she moved into the catering and event space with Thierry Isambert Culinary & Event Design, one of Miami’s premier high-end catering and event production companies, where she managed all staff scheduling, training, logistics, and special projects. In April 2019, Christine joined Taquiza’s Tacos as operations manager, where she is responsible for overseeing all front of house, back of house, and companywide operations.
